This Marvel Rivals playoff matchup between 100 Thieves and Envy continued with both teams adapting to the previous round with a Wolverine ban and switch to triple healer Ultron comp.

Envy's switch to Ultron

Envy leaned heavily on an Ultron composition early. While this strategy has seen past success, I felt that it was a bit outdated in the current meta—especially against 100 Thieves’ targeted counters. It's also hard enough to get enough damage out there with 2 shield tanks and a Psylocke.

Terra Erases Ultron and Flyers

Rarely seen in high-level matches, Iron Fist’s percentage damage and anti-dive team-up with Luna devastated the flyer comp and put a lot of pressure on Envy that they couldn't figure out. It's a valuable lesson to try to switch comps early and often in order to adapt to the enemy's comps.

Multiple Comp Switches

Unlike rigid teams that commit to a single draft, 100 Thieves made constant hero swaps:

Iron Fist → Black Panther → Bucky Barnes depending on game state. Delenaa’s Storm and Hela picks provided sustained backline damage and huge ults. This flexibility prevented Envy from locking into a counter-strategy even though they often times outnumbered ults.

TTK's Magneto

TTK’s Magneto was just too good. Between the bubbling, ults, 30k damage and 15 final hits, he might be the best Magneto in the game.

Takeaway: Midway through the match, Envy’s dive attempts ran into the Iron Fist/Luna anti-dive wall, repeatedly losing opening picks. 100 Thieves pressed the advantage whereas Envy was slow to adapt.
